XA Parent Ministry

XA Student Ministry seeks to equip parents to be the primary disciplers of their students. XA Student Ministry does this through calendaring with parents in mind; communication of events through email, mailouts, and beginning of semester parent meetings; connecting parents with help and resources, such as parenting magazines, Bible Study Discussion starters, and books; and commissioning parents for spiritual leadership through yearly parent events and discipleship studies.

Bible Study Conversations at Home:

Each month, a discussion guide for parents will be posted. Use the information and questions in the discussion guide to reinforce the truths of this month of Bible study at home. Use one or two of the discussion starters to begin a conversation. Look for teachable moments - at home, in the car, or at a game. Pray and ask God to provide you with opportunities to have spiritual conversations with your teenager(s).

Parenting Markers:

As the parent of a teenager, the life of your teenager gives you strategic opportunities to invest into his or her spiritual development. Just as you might develop your child's academic or athletic abilities, God also calls you to equip your student to become more like Christ as he or she develops towards adulthood. Parenting markers are key moments in your student's life that provides you with opportunities to develop meaningful spiritual life-markers in your student. Resources are provided below to help you create memorable spiritual markers.
